Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is responsible for the altar, vessels, linens, hangings and other sacramental furnishings of the church kept in the Sacristy. Members set out the elements of bread and wine for each celebration of the Holy Eucharist, clean up afterwards, polish the brass and silver, wash and iron linens and ensure the correct liturgical colors are in use. Some members serve for a specific Sunday service. Others come in during the week to get everything in order. Members also set up for weddings, funerals and other special services.
Serving on the Altar Guild requires training and a commitment to serve at least once a month.
