Music
Throughout the ages people have come together bound by common beliefs and expressed their faith in song. Both chorally and instrumentally, music at St. Luke's is an integral part of worship. Covering a wide range of style periods and genres in addition to the Anglican Choral tradition, music of the highest quality is offered in praise of our Creator.
For children and youth, we offer a graded choir system from three years of age through high school. St. Luke's currently has 46 choristers enrolled in its choir program. Affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM), choristers are taught using the Voice for Life curriculum. The St. Luke's Schola is composed of 12 professional singers and the St. Luke's Choir totals 45 singers. The Choirs of St. Luke's are open to anyone who wishes to participate. FRIENDS OF MUSIC AT ST. LUKE'S
Concerts by nationally and internationally renowned artists are frequently underwritten by the Friends of Music as a gift to our parish and the greater city of Atlanta. Music at St. Luke’s exists because of the generous pledges made by members and friends of the parish to its annual operating budget. We invite you to consider supporting our Friends of Music above and beyond your pledge. Annual membership in Friends of Music is open to all. Contributors are acknowledged in the programs for events sponsored by the Friends of Music and receive invitations to special donor receptions. For more information, please contact Matthew Brown, director of music. Thank you for your generosity.
