Throughout the ages people have come together bound by common beliefs and expressed their faith in song. Both chorally and instrumentally, music at St. Luke's is an integral part of worship. Covering a wide range of style periods and genres in addition to the Anglican Choral tradition, music of the highest quality is offered in praise of our Creator.
For children and youth, we offer a graded choir system from three years of age through high school. Affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music RSCM), choristers are taught using the Voice for Life training. In addition there are two adult choirs supported by professional staff singers and a Bell Tower band of ringers. The Alston Memorial Organ is one of the finest in the Southeast with over 5,000 pipes.
FRIENDS OF MUSIC AT ST. LUKE'S
Concerts by nationally and internationally renowned artists are frequently underwritten by the Friends of Music as a gift to our parish and the greater city of Atlanta. Music at St. Luke’s exists because of the generous pledges made by members and friends of the parish to its annual operating budget. We invite you to consider supporting our Friends of Music above and beyond your pledge. Annual membership in Friends of Music is open to all. Contributors are acknowledged in the programs for events sponsored by the Friends of Music and receive invitations to special donor receptions. For more information, please contact Matthew Brown, director of music. Thank you for your generosity.
