Cuba Companionship

The primary purpose of traveling to Cuba is to develop relationships with worshiping Episcopalians in another part of the world. Since 2014, 20 St. Luke's members, with clergy, have visited San Pablo Iglesia Episcopal in Camaguey, Cuba. Living at the rectory with the priest-in-charge, Padre Evelio, and his family on five separate visits, we have learned from one another and grown in our faith journeys. Our faithful companionship has supported building/restoration projects, such as painting and building an outdoor kitchen which has been used to feed and support the neighborhood. With these improvements, we have seen the San Pablo congregation grow 600% in five years.
