Wednesdays in Lent: Soup and Scripture - Stories of Us

Join us on Wednesdays at noon during Lent for a simple midday meal and time of reflection. Members of our own St. Luke’s community will offer the reflections each week March 1 through March 29. Please register online. A contribution of $5 is requested for lunch and this offering will be streamed live.
Brent is the CEO of Daymaker, an online giving platform supporting nonprofits. He attends St. Luke's along with his wife and two daughters. You can usually find him outside on the weekends with family and friends, where his favorite things are tennis, long runs, and exploring parks and playgrounds.
Kate Kennedy and her family have been members of St Luke’s for almost 20 years. She delights in the many ways she has experienced grace and ministry during her years at St Luke’s including as founder of The Boyce L Ansley School, Senior Warden, Christian Education Leader, occasional preacher, and currently as Minister of Community Discernment and Formation. Kate will graduate from Candler School of Theology in May with a Master of Religion and Public Life. She will continue her studies at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary as a Doctor of Ministry Candidate in Creative Writing and Public Theology.
Pat Brumbaugh is a husband (Ann), father (Lucy and Jack), lawyer (King & Spalding), and acolyte-wrangler. Pat and Ann have been members of the Parish since 2001. Pat is an Education for Ministry “graduate,” has served on the Vestry, and currently serves as the Parish’s Chancellor.
Jeronia Blue has been an RN with Grady Health System since 1970. She works as a case manager for high risk pregnant women, especially those living with HIV. She was a member of the Medical Ethics Committee at Grady Health System and served as co-chair for 20 years. Jeronia has been a longtime member of St. Luke's, where she served as a member of the altar guild for over 18 years. Jeronia has been volunteering at Courtland Street Mission for over two decades and currently serves as the lay leader.
Greg Vaughn has attended St. Luke's for over 20 years. A South Carolina native, Greg has considered Atlanta home for many years. He's currently serving his second term on The Vestry. He previously served on multiple clergy and staff leadership search committees including as chair of the Rector Search Committee that called Winnie Varghese.
Professionally, Greg Vaughn is a physician executive with over 30 years’ experience in healthcare. At present he is a principal with Spencer Stuart, a global leadership advisory firm, where he leads executive search assignments for senior clinician and non-clinician executives across healthcare sectors as well as board director searches for healthcare companies.
Greg earned a B.A. in history from Emory University and a M.D. from Harvard Medical School. Greg’s active civic engagement includes serving on the Emory University Board of Trustees, Woodruff Health Sciences Center Board, Achieve Atlanta Board of Directors, and The Carter Center Board of Trustees.
