Preserving St. Luke's Alston Memorial Organ

This year, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the installation of the Alston Memorial Organ at St. Luke’s. A fund has been established for organ maintenance honoring the legacy of Dr. Hugh Hodgson, St. Luke’s Organist and Choir Director from 1928 until 1969. Hodgson was responsible for the design and installation of the organ—truly one of the finest in the United States. The Hodgson Organ Fund will support the regular maintenance of this treasured instrument for decades to come. The organ is scheduled to be re-leathered this summer, a thorough and intricate process required every 30 years. Please consider contributing to this important work.
