Accessibility Renovations at St. Luke's

This summer, we are excited to begin work on several renovation projects that will make our church more accessible and welcoming for all. This work, which was approved by the St. Luke’s Vestry in May, will add space for wheelchairs and walkers in the Nave and replace the carpeted flooring throughout the Glenn Gallery with hard wood.
We are working with Barbara Kovacs Black Architect to ensure that the design and feel of our worship space remains the same. The project will create at least six places for wheelchairs in the church by adding a row of chairs and shortening six pews.
In the Glenn Gallery, we will remove the worn carpet and replace it with a durable hard wood surface that is guaranteed for the life of the building. The new floor has been matched to other wood surfaces in our building.
We do not anticipate either of these projects interfering with our Sunday morning schedule. Important projects like these are only possible thanks to your support and generosity! Thank you for all that you do for St. Luke’s.
