When someone dies, the Church gathers in grief, love, and hope.
A funeral at St. Luke’s is a service of worship in which we give thanks for the life of the person who has died, commend them to God’s merciful care, and surround those who mourn with prayer and support. The Episcopal burial liturgy holds together two truths: death brings real sorrow, and the love of God is stronger than death.
You do not need to know exactly what to do before calling the church. Clergy and staff will walk with you through the next steps.

A priest can offer prayer, pastoral care, and guidance as arrangements begin.
St. Luke's clergy will work with your family to plan the service. Together we can arrange:
• Scripture readings, hymns, and prayers
• Remembrances, when appropriate
• Any committal or burial arrangements
• Coordination with a funeral home
We can also help with practical questions about timing, space, bulletins, music, flowers, livestreaming or recording, and receptions.

Columbarium & Memorial Garden
St. Luke's offers sacred spaces for the interment of ashes in our columbarium and memorial garden. These spaces provide a lasting place of prayer, remembrance, and connection within the life of the parish.
• Individuals and families may purchase a niche in the columbarium or a place in the memorial garden, either in advance or as part of funeral planning.
• Clergy and staff can talk with you about available options, costs, and the process for arranging an interment.
• A committal or interment of ashes may take place right after a funeral or memorial service, or it may be scheduled separately.
