St. Luke’s is a 2,000-member Episcopal Church located in midtown Atlanta, Georgia - with over 400 under the age of 18. We strive to engage with and respond to the unique challenges of contemporary urban life and circumstances.
St. Luke’s is seeking a Director of Children, Youth and Families (CYF). The Director of CYF will share the transforming love of Jesus with children and youth in a real and relevant way, engaging new narrative theologies of contemporary
Christian theologians. The director will participate in the creation, development, and operation of programs that support the spiritual formation and overall well-being of parishioners ages 0-18. The director will also engage in pastoral care of children and youth, as well as to minister to the needs of families.
The ideal candidate is energetic, well-organized with excellent communication skills and familiar with dynamic children, youth and family ministry as a central mission of the Church. The candidate demonstrates a knowledge and love of scripture along with Episcopal tradition and has experience sharing that knowledge and love with children and youth. The candidate is outgoing, hard-working, flexible, and has a passion for both building community and incorporating children, youth and families into the larger church community.

Acknowledging that this is a full time position with irregular hours, the Director of CYF must be present for Sunday services and other weekend duties. Full benefits, including health and dental insurance and pension, are provided.

St. Luke’s is a thriving 2,000 member Episcopal Church in downtown Atlanta with a rich history of meaningful worship. We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented soul to join our staff as a part time liturgy shepherd. The ideal candidate is a well-organized self-starter with excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of Episcopal liturgy and Adobe InDesign in a PC setting. The assistant is responsible for the production of our service bulletins and all material related to weekly worship as well as “special” services, such as funerals and weddings that come up throughout the year. The assistant must be a planner -- able to work on “this” Sunday’s needs while looking down the road toward the next Sunday or season or feast day or wedding, and he/she must keep (and this is where the “shepherd” part comes in) all stakeholders (clergy, music department, etc.) likewise focused.
Layout and production of all worship bulletins according to St. Luke’s style guides with the exception of the cover artwork. This includes:
