PURPOSE
The Good Shepherd Society was formed in 1993 by the Vestry of St. Luke’s Church to recognize and honor those who have made estate or planned gifts to benefit St. Luke’s Church. The Society began with 60 founding members and today includes more than 200 individuals who are ensuring the future strength of St. Luke’s Parish through planned gifts.
Benefits
Members of the Good Shepherd Society have been faithful stewards of their resources and are looking to perpetuate a legacy for St. Luke’s Church to secure the future of the parish beyond their lifetimes. Members periodically receive tax and financial planning updates in addition to being invited to an annual special event offering insights on gift-planning issues. Members are listed on beautiful plaques located in the Parish Hall and are honored at an annual gathering in the spring.
