Beginning Aug. 22: Four Session Bible Study Series
Thursday, September 5, 2024, 11:00 AM
St. Luke's will host a four-session Bible study series, led by The Rev. Glenna Shepherd from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Parkins Room on Thursdays, Aug. 22, 29, Sept. 5, and 12.
This series will study the book of Job together. Job is part poetry, part ancient tale, part dramatic dialogue. It inspires us and challenges our theological and ethical imaginations, while pressing us to be spiritually honest about our human predicament and about the nature of God.
The biblical book of Job calls readers to face the realities of life and form (and re-form) our theologies in the ground of our real lives. As we will see together, Job’s story, despite the centrality of suffering, invites faithful people, to live into an authentic, engaged relationship with God. Please register in Realm.
