Church of the Common Ground Fellowship

This past summer, St. Luke’s youth began monthly walks downtown led by our Youth director, Andrew Cannan, to Woodruff Park where Church of the Common Ground conducts worship services.  The volunteers prepare lunches to share with the homeless people who are attending the service and spend time worshipping and eating together.  Andrew intends to extend the effort to be year round for all volunteers.  Church of the Common Ground is a diocesan ministry that was conceived to maintain the relationship between the church and people who are homeless.  They do this by maintaining a constant presence on the streets.  They conduct art workshops, foot clinics, as well as outdoor worship services.

Volunteers Needed for:

Visiting and Worship – Sundays in Woodruff Park at 1:00 pm

Once a month. volunteers prepare a meal at St. Luke’s then walk downtown to participate in services and a meal at Church of the Common Ground.
